We want to welcome Zac (belatedly) to Wave Consulting. Zac started doing full time work from January this year and didn’t realise how comfy our co-working office was, now that he is working from home.
Zac has degrees in mechanical engineering, science, and psychology. During his time studying he developed an interest in the technical systems that support large modern cities. He did some interesting deep dives in uni, like designing and manufacturing key components for Melbourne University Racing’s 2019 electric car. This problem solving and systems experience in combination with his interest in sustainability, led him to pursue a career in urban water.
Zac grew up in Jarkata and Perth and has travelled (yep remember when we did that sometimes!) through Indonesia, China, East Timor, and Peru and is looking forward to experiencing new cultures and cities, soon.
He has been working with Rob and other consultants on a range of projects: from greywater treatment design in national parks, to rainwater systems in subdivisions, to passively watered trees in Western Sydney. Zac has also been helping out with maintenance and rectification of inner city WSUD assets with Wave Maintenance.
